Further to our very successful installation of the Kew Gardens seedbank at Wakehurst Place, West Sussex where we installed drying rooms, incubators and -20°C coldrooms with rolling shelving, other overseas scientists realised the need for a local seedbank and visited Kew to see how it was done.
So impressed were the Chinese that they contacted us to write the specification for them, once submitted they realised that the level of specification was not available in China, they then instructed us to install the facility for them.
We shipped the whole thing from the UK including 200mm thick Styofoam coldroom panels, doors, evaporators, compressor pack systems, control panels, lighting, rolling shelving, in fact 5 x 40' shipping containers and all the labour to carry out the installation.
We have now been recommended for another similar overseas project, so watch this space.....
